Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) is a division of the Johns Hopkins University's Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. As part of the nation's first research university, AAP offers high-quality master's degrees and certificate programs at its Washington, D.C., Center, at JHU's Homewood Campus in Baltimore, Maryland, and online. AAP enrolls almost 6,000 students each academic year in over 45 programs and distinguishes itself through its intensive instructional assistance, selective admissions, and 60 dedicated full-time faculty. Position description

The Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) division seeks non-tenure track adjunct faculty to teach courses within the Applied Economics program and the Financial Economics program. Of particular interest are candidates who have experience teaching in-person as well as asynchronous online courses, working with part-time graduate students, and engaging students from diverse backgrounds. Candidates who are available to teach in-person classes are preferred. Minimum Qualifications

  • An advanced degree in any relevant field, with a master's degree at minimum.

  • At least five years of professional work experience within the Economics field.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • A terminal degree in in relevant field related to the Economics field.

  • 1-3 years of graduate level teaching experience.

  • Online teaching experience.

  • Experience in developing graduate courses.

  • The background to teach a wide variety of courses in an Economics program.
