Johns Hopkins University Clinical/Translational Faculty Researcher in St. Petersburg, Florida
Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, Florida seeks a mid/senior level faculty clinical/translational physician researcher who will play integral roles in both our Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute (CBDI) and our Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR). JHACH is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked as a U.S. News & World Report Best Children's Hospital in several pediatric specialties. We are also ranked as the #1 Children's Hospital in Tampa Bay. JHACH is the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system. We seek an experienced and innovative clinical/translational researcher to grow and expand our academic mission.
As a faculty member in the CBDI, this individual will serve as the associate director for the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy within the CBDI Blood and Marrow program. S/he will lead clinical and translational research focused on blood and marrow transplant immunology within the CBDI and will also be expected to pursue independent investigations, working to garner NIH and other extramural funding to support the science. In his/her role within the ICTR, this individual will serve as associate director for clinical research and will provide vision, strategic direction and oversight of clinical research programs and cores/shared resources associated with the JHAC ICTR. In collaboration with the ICTR director, this individual will work with colleagues to help lead the vision for clinical research with emphasis on (but not limited to) early-phase clinical trials. It is anticipated that this individual will also devote effort in serving as a PI or co-investigator on multiple extramurally-funded studies conducted in the JHACH Clinical Research Unit.

The ideal candidate for this dual role is a nationally or internationally-recognized scientific leader in pediatric clinical trials with a track record of federal and industry-sponsored grants as an independent principal investigator.
M.D.
Nationally/Internationally-recognized research expertise in pediatric clinical trials
Minimum of 5 years of progressive research and/or faculty development leadership experience in an academic health system setting
Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric early-phase clinical trials research involving biomarkers and/or omics
Track record of federal and industry-sponsored grants as an independent principal investigator, preferably with current active funding
Strong knowledge of federal regulatory requirements, guidelines and best practices pertaining to clinical trial design, review, registration, execution and oversight
Research consortium leadership experience is preferred
Experience as a primary mentor on (an) extramural Mentored Research Award(s) is preferred
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Clinical Science, Clinical Investigation, or related field is preferred
