Johns Hopkins University Research Specialist in Baltimore, Maryland
We are seeking a Research Specialist. Our laboratory studies the biochemical and adaptive signaling responses to small molecule inhibition of RAF and MEK kinases with a specific focus on pediatric solid tumors.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Performs experiments using cell culture, animal, and molecular biology techniques.
Participates in developing experimental designs, plans/implements experiments, and evaluates and interprets results.
Compiles, analyzes, and interprets research data using various computer software applications.
Conducts literature research, and participates in editing and preparing manuscripts, scientific illustrations, and computer graphics for publication.
Trains new employees and supervises them in the performance of their duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
One year laboratory experience performing relevant techniques.
Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $16.92 - $29.61 HRLY ($23.27/hr. targeted; Commensurate with experience)
