Johns Hopkins University Research Program Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator who will oversee program coordination, communication, and reporting for a dynamic research lab with numerous externally-funded research projects. This person will support the activities of the Poverty and Inequality Research Lab (PIRL). This position primarily reports to the Center Director / PI.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all project administrative details, to include fielding participant recruitment, incentive processing, as well as coordinating submission of invoices and reimbursements related to project expenses.

  • Coordinate day-to-day project implementation of qualitative research: planning/preparation, data collection, data analysis activities and communication of results, IRB, participant contact and interview scheduling, budgeting, contractual services, and compliance with relevant protocols and confidentiality requirements.

  • Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of project staff.

  • Maintain schedule for the Director and co-Director of the Lab, as well as assist with information requests on behalf of the Director and co-Director.

  • Collaborate with Center Director/PI and research team to help meet targets and milestones, including progress reports to funding agencies.

  • Serve a critical role as liaison and facilitate meetings between team members and Center Director/ PI.

  • Complete and maintain professional documentation for projects and deliverables, develop RFPs as needed.

  • Collaborate with Center Director/PI, faculty, and staff at Johns Hopkins and other study sites to support project planning.

  • Execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure high-quality projects are delivered on-time.

  • Manage social media accounts and website(s).

  • Ensure the projects are completed within the budget (including sub-contracts).

  • Assist in the preparation of existing grant reports and new grant applications.

  • Use professional judgment in handling information and be sensitive to project team, individual and all levels of organizational concerns.

  • Lead communication activities among the research team.

  • Organize meetings and conferences.

  • Attend all regular training/team meetings with Center Director/PI and other team members.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP, Qualtrics, STATA & R.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
