Johns Hopkins University Research Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland

The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Assistant to aid in an ongoing NIH-sponsored project investigating cognitive outcomes in stroke patients. The position will include participation in training research staff in cognitive testing, quality control monitoring, and data management.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in protocol management for cognitive testing training and certification in a multi-site, epidemiological, longitudinal research study.

  • Execute quality control protocols of cognitive testing and cognitive data collection, and analysis of data.

  • Participation in protocol modification and design, materials development, and data aggregation.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The candidate will possess initiative and self-motivation to aid in the development and carrying out of procedures aimed at maintaining study protocols.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a team-oriented personality, are required.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.

  • Prior experience with cognitive testing or the administration of neuropsychological testing is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
