Johns Hopkins University Research Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Research Assistant in the division of Adolescent Medicine. A significant part of this position will be to recruit participants and conduct one-on-one interviews for this qualitative research study. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to assist with data analysis at the conclusion of data collection.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Recruit study participants from Harriet Lane clinic and via community partners, including screening and managing informed consent process.

  • Conduct one-on-one interviews with consented participants.

  • Assist with data analysis, and other administrative study tasks.

  • Complete required human subjects and DocuSign trainings as well as maintain certification.

  • Assist with annual continuing review for IRB protocols and progress report preparation for funders (e.g., NIJ, NIH)

  • Attend team meetings as needed.

  • Additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($36,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Casual / On Call

Schedule: M-F: hours vary

Exempt Status: Non-Exempt
